Volunteer Opportunities

How can I volunteer to be part of FlowerMart?

Either write to us at Flower Mart at Mt. Vernon, Ltd., 310 Kerneway, Baltimore, MD 21212 or call us at 410-323-0022.

If I have only a couple of hours to give throughout the year, is there a position available for me?

  1. Several volunteers are needed to help out at FlowerMart’s snack bar during different times of either day until 6 P.M. You would be dispensing simple food and drinks and handling cash and food vouchers.
  2. Volunteers are also needed in mid-November and again in late April for a few hours to help us stuff envelopes.
  3. Once every quarter we also need help compiling, addressing and stamping our internal FlowerMart newsletter.
  4. VERY IMPORTANT! We could use your help selling raffle tickets to your friends, family, business associates, club membersand anyone else interested in a good chance at winning over $1000. You can do this at your leisure.
What other kinds of openings are there for me at the FlowerMart itself?
  1. If you’re looking for an opportunity to get into stage production, become a Stage Manager! You will greet the performers, make sure they have water and distribute food vouchers. Volunteers are needed both days.
  2. Or if you want to be a Director... help us direct festival traffic! Volunteers are needed both days
  3. We also need people to distribute beforehand (and collect afterward) all the signage for the vendors! You will handle each vendors' sign and booth number. Volunteers are needed before and after the FlowerMart.
  4. Volunteers are also needed to mark off street spaces for vendors at festival time.
  5. VERY IMPORTANT! We need as many people as possible to sell raffle tickets to the festival guests during the 'Mart.
